1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and PremiumPress Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15814776), whose registered office is at Rowan House, 7 West Bank, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO12 4DX, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”), the publisher of the Golf Studio app and the golfstudio.app website. By installing or using the app, or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Golf Studio is

Golf Studio is a video editing app for golf. It lets you record or import swing videos, trim them, change their speed, add overlays such as scorecards and shot tracers, add music, keep scorecards for your rounds, find golf courses, and export the result to your device. It runs on your phone and does not require an account.

3. Price

Golf Studio is free to download and use. It has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. If we ever offer paid features, they will be optional, their price will be shown in the app before you buy, and these terms will be updated first.

4. Your content

The videos you record or import, and the clips you export, are yours. We claim no ownership of them and, because they never reach our servers, we never have a copy. You are responsible for having the right to film and use what appears in your videos, including other people and the golf course you are on. Exported clips carry no watermark; what you do with them afterwards is your responsibility.

5. Music

The music included in the app is licensed to us for use in Golf Studio. You may use it in videos you make with the app, including sharing them on social media. You may not extract the music from the app or use it separately from videos made with Golf Studio.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app or the site to do anything unlawful, to infringe anyone else’s rights, or to attempt to reverse engineer, copy or resell the app or its overlay designs. The overlay designs, the app’s code and the Golf Studio name and star mark are ours or our licensors’ and are licensed to you for use within the app only.

7. Estimates, course information and maps

The shot tracer, swing detection, target line, carry and roll figures and any other measurements the app produces are estimates derived from video. They are for entertainment and self-review, not for competition scoring, handicap submission or any decision that depends on accuracy. Course details come from OpenStreetMap and other public sources and may be incomplete or out of date; check with the course before you travel. Course data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features of the app at any time. We may update these terms; the current version is always at golfstudio.app/terms.html with the date at the top, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app and site are provided free of charge and “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data on your device; please keep copies of videos that matter to you. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Apple

If you downloaded Golf Studio from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in another country, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
